For many women, pregnancy is a wonderful time… marred by heartburn. More than 50% of pregnant women occasionally experience heartburn. For 5% of pregnant women, heartburn occurs at least daily.
Most of the time, simple lifestyle changes such as eating smaller meals, not eating before bedtime, and avoiding garments that fit tightly around the waist can help to lessen heartburn. Sometimes, medications are needed.
